Washington, DC buyers beware
Just happened upon this site. Granted it has been a few years since we purchased our bedroom furniture but I was astounded by these wonderful reviews. Maybe it's the difference between being in New York and Washington. So here's a warning for purchasers from DC. Yes, absolutely the design is wonderful and the in-store service here was very good. The difficulty began with planning for the delivery (wouldn't be tied down to a delivery date after multiple calls), the delivery itself -- the furniture, when assembled, was not properly fitted and was damaged. It took two further visits for them to agree on what was wrong, and two more after that for it to be fixed. The final repair of the bed frame was not pretty. Heavy hammering on what was a carefully wrought piece of furniture. Yikes! ( I dread the day we have to disassemble this bed frame and night table set.) Having chosen a high-end furniture company we expected far better than the nightmare we got.
