Awful place to shop
Awful shopping experience. They are now down to 2 stores and this once successful furniture retailer will not survive, in my opinion. I went to their Roslyn Heights, NY store and then to their Paramus, NJ store and when I tried to buy a sectional sofa and coffee table they kept changing the price on the invoice to a higher amt. First they were going to fix the leg on a floor sample but on the invoice they said no then they wouldn't honor the 10% discount they ran an ad for in the NYT's and then they agreed to it. When I finally thought we had a deal, they said the price on the coffee table was for the floor sample. I said your ad at the end of Sept. in the NYT's said in bold letters 40-60% off plus another 10% through Oct. 12th on "All Furniture". They said they would not honor the ad. I am reporting them to the Nassau County Dept. of Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. This is not the store you think it is.

Washington, DC buyers beware
Just happened upon this site. Granted it has been a few years since we purchased our bedroom furniture but I was astounded by these wonderful reviews. Maybe it's the difference between being in New York and Washington. So here's a warning for purchasers from DC. Yes, absolutely the design is wonderful and the in-store service here was very good. The difficulty began with planning for the delivery (wouldn't be tied down to a delivery date after multiple calls), the delivery itself -- the furniture, when assembled, was not properly fitted and was damaged. It took two further visits for them to agree on what was wrong, and two more after that for it to be fixed. The final repair of the bed frame was not pretty. Heavy hammering on what was a carefully wrought piece of furniture. Yikes! ( I dread the day we have to disassemble this bed frame and night table set.) Having chosen a high-end furniture company we expected far better than the nightmare we got.
